Great series. Keep up the good work! Getting an early flight from the hell-hole that is Edinburgh Airport (really, for world class city the airport is rubbish) and seeing folks boozing at 6am in The Sir Walter. Peak Scotland - I’m pretty sure if most Edinburgh bars were open at that time….they’d have a fair smattering of punters! I had the full Scottish (sans alcohol) and it was pretty, pretty bad.
I don't like airports and I don't like 'Spoons, but I *loved* this review! :)

Thanks Russell, I agree it has very few redeeming features and I imagine all the negatives are only magnified at 6am.
You really summed it up well! Lovely bit of writing.
Nicely written. I too am not overly fond of Spoons but this seems a fair review from what I remember it to be.
Yes - really good piece
Love the airport.
I have never lost my childhood fascination with flying. I think it’s the most exciting and exhilarating thing to do.
And the airport has the potential to explore all human emotion… Hope, anticipation, joy, adventure, fear, trepidation, excitement. It’s all here.
Love me a beer at the airport also no matter what the time.
However, Edinburgh Airport. My home 'port... The bars.
Wetherspoons. Once worked in The Standing Order for an academic year (97ish)... That and the owner is why I have never set foot in a "'Spoons" since.
BrewDog. Finance Bro d*cks - "style" over substance.
So it's All Bar One for me. But paid over £7 for a pint of Asahi on route to Germany last year!…
Auf Wiedersehen!
