100+ Edinburgh pubs which allow children
👶 These are the pubs you can take your kids to.
Over the three or so years I have doing Edinburgh Pub Reviews, I have had some parents ask me which pubs allow children and which don’t. I’ve never had a good answer, as it’s not always clear what each pub’s licensing rules are.
So I decided to ask them. This is a list for all parents, grandparents and guardians looking for somewhere they can take kids.
As far as I can tell, it’s the only verified list out there which puts all that information in one place. My thanks to all the pubs which replied to me and shared their rules.
The list is split into two sections:
Just take a note of other rules, such as curfews and whether you have to reserve first.

Some general notes…
These rules apply to under-18s, except where stated. They require the child or young person to be accompanied by a responsible adult
Managers have discretion to turn you away – for example if it’s busy or there’s an event on
Not all these pubs will be appropriate for babies. Some will be tricky to navigate with buggies, or won’t have changing facilities
